Charles, a pensioner, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private detective’s ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”.
I’m 67 years old and it was so wonderful to see so many actors of our generation and their great comedic style. The script gets a little lost trying to solve the mystery and goes into more depth with the characters’ storylines.
That’s OK, because about halfway through you have a pretty good idea who the culprit is. You don’t mind that it’s not a real mystery, because you just have fun watching these golden oldies at work and showing off their skills.
Just a tribute to how brave you have to be to be a senior citizen and still be active and feel seen in our youth-oriented society. What a sweet tribute this series has been to those who support us and help us navigate the minefields of growing older.
