Description Data can move over networks or remain in place on storage devices
Desktop administrators need to manage both situations, and that’s what this course covers, including details on IP configuration, mobile networks, NTFS permissions, and OneDrive. After installing Windows 10/11, configuring the interface and setting up accounts, it’s time to connect.
In this Windows 10/11 Connectivity and Storage Setup course, you’ll learn how to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot network connections and secure data storage
First, you’ll learn how to configure IP addressing and name resolution using both graphical and command-line tools to test and diagnose low-level connectivity. Then you’ll see how to configure Wi-Fi connections, including tunneling and authentication protocols, and create many different types of virtual private networks supported by Windows.
Then you’ll learn how to deploy Wi-Fi and VPN connections for users using tools like Windows Configuration Designer and Intune
Finally, you’ll learn how to administer local storage using Disk Management and Storage Spaces to create logical drives and NTFS permissions and conditions to protect those drives. After completing this course, you will have the skills and knowledge to configure Windows 10/11 network connections and storage resources so that your systems connect securely to the rest of your organization without increasing the risk of data leakage on local storage devices.
This course meets the learning objectives for the new MD-100 exam for the Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification
