Story

Three strangers – who live in the same New York apartment building and share a true crime obsession – suddenly find themselves involved in a murder. He is actually a very accomplished and talented musician. The viewer learned in the first episode that CHS lived above Oliver who lived above Mabel, with that elevator scene.

I previously rated the series 8, but had to downgrade after season 3

BUT the opening shows CHS in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – the reverse order and well below the actual floor of CHS’s apartment in the series. Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Rat of All My Dreams (2020). I loved seasons 1 and 2, but I’m not enjoying season 3 as much.

The main characters seem to have different personalities

The show in seasons 1 and 2 was warm, engaging, and funny, but a lot of that gets lost in season 3 in some way. I personally don’t really like the theme song in season 3, but others seem to love it. The revelations are obvious and easy to guess at first, and aren’t very interesting/twistful.

I’d like to see the show continue, more like season 1

The writing seems a lot less serious, like they knew it was a stupid premise and didn’t put as much effort into the writing. Overall, I’m disappointed in season 3, the ending definitely wasn’t worth dragging out 10 episodes.
