It follows Madeline Matlock as she joins the workforce of a prestigious law firm, where she uses her cunning tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing. starring Andy Griffith in the lead role of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock. For legal reasons they had to give Dean Hargrove a “based on the Matlock series” movie credit..
In order to be hired by a New York law firm, Matlock would have to verify her law license status through one of three official mechanisms, each of which is carefully managed by the state. This would verify identity, address, current license status, disciplinary actions, etc. It’s pure entertainment.
Finally. Good stories. Good dialogue.
I hope the series continues for some time. It might bring back viewing on the net. Matlock’s ability to sense personalities and possibilities really moves the story forward and keeps the viewer engaged.
The new “kids” in the firm add just the right touch of the current generation trying to show their stuff as they enter the big time.
